FAMTE is a professional organization, greatly dedicated to the improvement of mathematics teacher education in Florida—it includes over 300 members devoted to the preservice education and professional development of K-12 teachers of mathematics.

 

AMTE 2011 Awards

We are pleased to announce the recipients of AMTE's 2011 awards:

Rochelle Gutierrez of the University of Illinois is the recipient of AMTE’s Outstanding Mathematics Teacher Educator Award, focusing this year on excellence in scholarship.
Kathryn Chval of the University of Missouri is the recipient of AMTE’s Early Career Award.
Both award winners were recognized at the 2011 AMTE Conference in Irvine. Congratulations, Rochelle and Kathryn!
